Cross-sectional descriptive study using case vignette questionnaires. Study subjects were midwives and nurses working in public hospitals with more than 400 beds in the Kanto area of Japan. The statistical analysis was accomplished with SPSS ver23. \nOf the returned questionnaires 764(60%)were useable and analyzed. The majority(92.1%)formed a positive group regarding co-worker's pregnancy. “Ward atmosphere” (p=.001), “colleague support” (p=.024), “self-health” (p=.002)and “maternity and childcare leave experiences” (p=.000)had a positive effect on latent recognition of co-workers pregnancy. The results of the Multinomial logistic analysis revealed that “maternity and childcare leave experiences” (p=.000), and “ward atmosphere” (p=.001)were factors that raised a positive recognition of co-worker's pregnancy.
